Itinerary #1: Natural Wonders of Chile - Desert, Glaciers, and Coast

On this two-week trip, you’ll visit many of the places that have made Chile an iconic destination for travelers and mountaineers alike: the Atacama Desert, the glaciers of Patagonia, and the colorful port city of Valparaíso.

Welcome to Chile! Get oriented with a day and night in the capital city of Santiago before making the two-hour drive to Valparaíso. You'll wander the winding streets of the port city, checking out street art and stopping for pisco sours and fresh seafood with a view. On day three, jet up to the Atacama Desert. Over the next days, you'll base yourself in the town of San Pedro de Atacama and go on guided excursions and hikes to the El Tatio Geysers, the otherworldly landscapes at the Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley), Atacama Salt Flat, and Laguna Céjar lake. 

Midway through the trip, catch a flight to Puerto Montt in southern Chile, then make the overland transfer to Puerto Varas. Spend the next days exploring Chilean Patagonia, taking a ferry to Chiloe Island, seeing penguins in the wild at the Puñihuil Penguins National Reserve, and spending the night in Castro. Moving on to Puerto Natales, get ready to spend the end of the trip on a journey through Torres del Paine National Park, widely considered to be the best national park on the continent. Itinerary #2: Grand Adventure Tour - Santiago to Easter Island

Think of it as a grand tour of Chile—this two-week itinerary takes you to the Atacama, Easter Island, Torres del Paine National Park, and the capital city of Santiago.

Begin the adventure with a day and night of sightseeing, eating, and drinking in Santiago before day-tripping to the coast. Visit the historic port city of Valparaiso and the resort town of Viña del Mar, stopping for fresh seafood empanadas along the way, then head back to Santiago for the next day's flight north. Arrive in the Atacama Desert, where you'll spend the next few days touring El Tatio Geysers, Valle de la Luna, the region's famous salt flats and lagoons, and star-gazing after dark: it's one of the best places in the world to gaze up at the night sky.

Start the second half of the trip with a flight to Punta Arenas, a jumping-off point for Torres del Paine National Park. You'll trek to the base of the towers, spot wildlife like guanacos (a cousin of the alpaca), picnic along the trail, and cross pristine blue lakes on catamarans. Head back to Santiago on day ten for a quick detour to Rapa Nui (more commonly known to travelers as Easter Island) for a full-day tour of the island. See Rapa Nui's famously mysterious Moai statues, see ancient petroglyphs inside caves by the sea, go for a swim in the ocean, and hike to Puna Pau volcano and archaeological sites like Ana Te Pahu, the largest cavern on the island. Itinerary #3: Romantic Patagonia 

Designed for couples, this two-week trip plan takes you to Patagonia's most breathtaking sites, exploring iconic landscapes at a relaxed pace. Spend half the trip exploring Chile, and half the trip getting to know the Argentina side.

Kick off your romantic getaway in Chile's capital before continuing south to Punta Arenas and transferring to Puerto Natales, gateway to Torres del Paine National Park. Before heading into the park for glaciers, turquoise lakes, and thrilling day hikes, you'll day-trip to a Patagonian estancia (ranch) for horseback riding and a traditional asado (barbecue). For the next three days, you'll see the highlights of Torres del Paine, including Ultima Esperanza Fjord, Rio Serrano river, pristine Lake Pehoé, and Grey Lake, hiking to the base of the Paine Massif on the last full day.

You'll explore another part of Patagonia during the second half of the trip. Cross the border to Argentina and the town of El Calafate, located on the edge of Los Glaciares National Park. Take a walking and boat tour around Perito Moreno glacier before making the scenic three-hour drive to the outdoor adventure hub of El Chaltén. Hike to Laguna Capri and spend the night in elegant Laguna Condor Mountain Lodge. Itinerary #4: Torres del Paine Trek & Central Chile

You'll get plenty of culture, nature, and adventure on this two-week itinerary that starts with a culinary tour of Santiago, passes through Chile's finest national park, and ends in the beautiful Aysén region.

Pack your winter gear: things are going to get cold on this outdoor adventure you won't soon forget. But before you get to Chile's icy landscapes, you'll spend a few days getting to know the capital city. Unlike comparable itineraries, this trip plan begins with three nights in Santiago: plenty of time to see sights like La Chascona, onetime home of the great Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, to take a food tour of the city, and to day-trip to the port of Valparaiso, stopping at local wineries along the way for tastings.

On day four, fly south to Patagonia. You'll spend the next several days hiking and exploring in Torres del Paine National Park. You'll sleep in refugios (mountain camps), take in breathtaking views of the park's peaks and mountains, and end the day around the campfire during the five-day "W" Trek.

On day ten, fly back to Santiago to enjoy the comforts of sleeping in the city before you head out once more to Balmaceda, transferring to Puerto Río Tranquilo for a boat tour of the region's famous Marble Caves. Spend the last full day of the trip hiking in the northern Patagonian valley of Valle Exploradores. On a clear day, you'll get panoramic views of San Valentin glacier and the Northern Patagonian Ice Field.
