Ambre-Marie Miailhes
Hi travellers!
My name is Ambre-Marie, I was born in the heart of Alsace, in the Grand-Est region. For family reasons, I traveled a lot through different regions of France and I have been able to settle in many cities. I really appreciate moving around, discovering new atmospheres, and meeting inspiring people.
Eager to discover life in the South of France, I recently moved to Marseille. Appeased by the sun, the sea air, and the sound of seagulls, I take advantage of every special moment in town, by the sea, in the mountains of Basse Provence, or in the countryside.
As a huge fan of what our country has to offer in terms of sceneries, historical and cultural buildings and, unusual activities here is my mission: to make you experience breathtaking moments, to fill your eyes with splendor, and to share with you our French art of living!
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"I've lived for more than 10 years in Grenoble, so I can say i'm an expert of the Auvergne Rhône Alpes destination, going from visiting cities, walk, hike and skii in our handsome snow-capped mountains, to taste our delicious nuts, cheese, terrine, olive oil.... I also have many knowledges about the Grand Est region where I was born. Every summer I used to visit cultural landmarks, museums, historic sites, or walking paths with my grandparents. My grandmother also tought me how to cook local gastronomy such as Kougelhopf, gingerbread, bretzel, choucroute...! That would be a pleasure for me to give you all my insider tips (but not my grandmother's secret recipes...sorry...you'll have to come and ask her!)
I'm here to help you organizing family trips, spiritual retreat to find your inner peace, adventure trips through nature out of the beaten paths, but also romantic holidays and especially the stay of your desires! "
How did you get involved in travel?
"Because of all the moves, I experienced in my childhood, I no longer like to stay only in one place.
Nowadays, it's so easy to move from country to country, that I started as a 16-year-old Aupair going from town to town during the holidays to look after children. If you want to go with your toddlers I will be able to concoct a stay suitable for adults and children! Ideal to spend a perfect time with your family. Traveling alone, fending for myself in unfamiliar cities, and appreciating the help of the locals pushed me to go on more adventures.
After that, studying and working in tourism was obvious!"
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"While I was 16, my parents offered me a trip to California. With a friend from Sacramento, we did a road-trip through San Diego, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Hollywood on the occasion of her basketball championship. I experienced my first long flight alone, my first time on another continent, and of course the California dream. I was so afraid when I took off from Paris because I was flying towards the unknown. I had to adapt myself, to the culture and the language, that's what opened me up to the world!
A few years later, in 2019, I had the opportunity to work for the tourist site Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Germany. I had to travel for professional workshops in Ukraine and Georgia to present the touristic site to foreign tour operators. I met many professionals and learned a lot through our discussions about their own vision of travel.
The fondest memories I have of my travels are definitely my meetings with other travellers and locals! "

This was our first family trip to Paris and I wanted to make it special. Ambre-Marie worked with me for six months to plan this! She was patient and kind with my questions and changes. Ambre-Marie was very responsive! The tours and dinners were well worth it!

I only requested a ballon ride in Loire Valley, going to three cities in France for 8 days, traveling by train between cities, with the final stop in Paris. The local specialist set up the rest. We had many excursion experiences with locals. Hotels were always within walking distance to everything. We enjoyed all, especially the surprising and amazing dinner river cruise, at night, in Paris, on the last day. read more

Very positive experience. Glad we stayed in Honfleur. Accommodations were overall very good. One quirky place in St. Malo. The hosts in each place were welcoming.
Several places had very narrow spiral stairs so it wouldn’t fit for those less agile as you needed to carry your own suitcase. Sedric was our guide for Normandy. He was full of knowledge, patient and kind. He kept us on schedule to hear taps at the American cemetery. Visit to the vineyard and wine tasting was delightful. Jean... read more
