Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Explore Venice
Arrive in Venice, where you will be transferred to your hotel in the floating city. Relax and take your first stroll around this unique city with its incredible architecture and enchanting atmosphere.
Day 2: Islands of Venice
Today you will have another day to discover this romantic city, exploring neighborhoods like the Giudecca and the Cannaregio area. You can also join an excursion to the islands of Murano and Burano. These colorful islands are famous for their glass making, lace-work, and bright kaleidoscopic buildings. Discover these villages by boat and stroll along the narrow streets before heading back to Venice.
Day 3: More of Venice
In the morning, meet with your guide for a private tour of this wonderful city. San Marco Square, the Rialto Bridge, and the Palazzo Ducale are just a few of the masterpieces you will visit. Late in the afternoon, enjoy a romantic private gondola ride.
Day 4: Florence, the Renaissance Jewel
Today you will be transferred to Venice station and take the fast-speed train to Florence. After checking into your hotel, enjoy a guided walk around the city. See the Dome, Palazzo Pitti, and Piazza della Signoria.
Day 5: Lucca and Pisa
In the morning, you will be transferred to Lucca — one of the most beautiful cities in Italy. Tucked behind imposing Renaissance walls, its cobblestoned streets, handsome piazzas, and leafy promenades make it an excellent destination to discover on foot as a day trip from Florence.
Take your time exploring this lovely town. Visit the famous Anfiteatro Square, the medieval wall, and the Torre Guinigi — a medieval tower with a roof garden. On the way back, stop in Pisa to admire the famous Campo dei Miracoli with its Baptistery and the Leaning Tower. Head back to Florence for the night.
Day 6: Tuscany on a Vespa
Today you will see the picturesque Chianti from another point of view — on a Vespa tour. Take in the fresh air and breathtaking views, not to mention the Tuscan food and wine, on this unforgettable day. With a specialized guide, you will ride through vineyards, olive trees, and medieval villages, before enjoying a typical Tuscan meal and wine tasting.
Day 7: The Amalfi Coast
After breakfast, take a fast train to Naples. Once here, you will go by private transfer to the lovely village of Amalfi. After you check in to your hotel, relax and enjoy this lovely village by the sea.
Day 8: Discover Positano and Ravello
Spend a great day exploring the Amalfi Coast. Take a bus or enjoy a short ferry ride to the elegant fisherman's village of Positano. Explore the narrow streets, churches and picturesque beach. You can also walk along the beautiful Ferriere Valley to Amalfi's ancient industrial area, where iron-works and paper mills once sat. If you wish, you can also visit Ravello, a lovely town famous for its villas and gardens.
Day 9: Mt. Vesuvius and Pompei
Today you will travel to Mt. Vesuvius and take an easy walk up to the crater. From here you can see all the way to Naples Bay! After the walk, enjoy a private guided tour of the famous archeological site at Pompei. In the afternoon, you will travel to Naples where you will stay overnight.
Day 10: City of Naples
In the morning, meet your local guide for a tour of this vibrant city. Ancient monuments, churches, squares, and local markets are some of what Napoli has to offer. Taste the street food and eat the best pizza of your life.
Day 11: Ancient Rome
Take the fast train to Rome, where you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend the afternoon downtown; see the famous Piazza di Spagna, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, and many others masterpieces.
Day 12: Rome and the Vatican Museum
In the morning, meet with your private guide for your tour of the Vatican Museum. The museum contains one of the largest, most spectacular art displays in the world, including Michelangelo’s breathtaking Last Judgment in the Sistine Chapel. In the afternoon, enjoy a walk around Villa Borghese or visit the Colosseum.
Day 13: Rome's Trastevere District
Rome is famous for its mouth-watering cuisine, and today you'll experience some of the best food and culture in the Lazio region. With your personal guide, explore the medieval neighborhood of Trastevere, with its narrow cobblestone streets and laneways. Visit local food stores, taste local specialties, and talk to the wonderful families working hard to preserve Roman food traditions. Spend your last afternoon walking around in the Eternal City.
Day 14: Departure
After breakfast, make your way to Rome's airport for your departure.
