Hotel Belvedere
The Hotel Belvedere came into being in the lakeside town of Bellagio in 1880, when its founder wanted to create the ideal lakeside retreat. Five generations later, her family is still running the hotel today. Rooms decorated with Italian artifacts and soothing hues offer amenities like balconies, gardens, and lake views.
When you're feeling peckish, La Terrazza Restaurant offers local cheeses, fresh lake fish, and other specialties built on regional ingredients with views over the lake and terrace seating to catch the lake breeze, or the Lounge Bar is available for a leisurely drink and small bites. The spa offers the opportunity to "explore a deep affinity with water," whether you're in the Turkish bath, heated pool, or sensory shower. Stroll or settle in with a book in the private tiered garden or on the poolside lounges, or retreat to the airy library to simply take in the views.

Hotel Villa Flori
If you're looking for a spot close enough to town to have a drink in the evening, but far enough out that you'll feel surrounded by nature, head to the Hotel Villa Flori, which describes itself as "Just up the road from Como, but far away from everything." Original furnishings from the 19th century including restored frescoes and wooden floors from the villa's expansion in 1859 sit alongside contemporary design touches.
Take in some of the best views in the house while enjoying fresh local cuisine at the Ristorante Raimondi. On the top floor, a spa and solarium with lake views will soothe any post-sightseeing soreness. Enthusiastic cyclists and even newbies who want to take a gentle spin can appreciate the hotel's bike storage and programs that include everything from e-bike rentals to guided tasting tours to custom pro racing bike experiences. Pick up a souvenir to remind you of your stay in the hotel boutique before you go.

Grand Hotel Tremezzo
The art nouveau Grand Hotel Tremezzo sits on the western shore of the lake in the town of Tremezzina. Considered one of the most beautiful hotels on the lake, this is the stop for travelers looking for luxury. It was built in 1910 for the Belle Epoque elites and carries that indulgent spirit today from its five different bars and restaurants to its three pools and vast gardens.
Take in views toward the town of Bellagio and Grigne mountains from one of the three pools on the property, whether you're bathing in a pool within the lake at the "water-on-the-water" pool and its beach amenities, inhaling the fragrant air of the secluded flowers pool, or finishing up a wellness treatment at the T Spa and its infinity pool. Enjoy fine dining, casual wine bar, fresh poolside pizza, or a private dinner experience. Pick up a private boat ride from the marina, or wander the more than 65,000 square feet (20,000 sq. m.) of park and botanic garden.
