Eva Sigurðardóttir
I have been traveling around Iceland since I was a little girl. Being out in the nature, experiencing something new and exciting is the most amazing feeling in the world.
Ever since I had my first trip abroad, I knew that traveling and tourism industry was something I wanted to do.
As soon as graduated high school I wanted to go travel and experience something new, meet new people and get to know different cultures. I lived for 6 months in Spain and 4 years in Sweden where I was able to meet people from all around the world and broaden my horizon to different cultures and people.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
""Iceland Untouched specialize in tours all around Iceland. We are great admirers of nature and we seek every opportunity to get the "alone in the world experience" wherever we are. We only operate with private small groups and self drives through local people with emphasis on luxury and high quality local products and services around the island that give our customers a better understanding of the Icelandic way of life, our history, our traditions and our untouched nature.""
How did you get involved in travel?
"I did my bachelor and master’s degree in tourism and hospitality since I wanted to specialize in that field. I worked as a flight attendant with my studies to be able to travel around the world and get to meet new people and experiences.
Having experienced traveling around the world I really felt the desire to introduce tourist to Iceland and all the amazing adventures and untouched nature Iceland has to offer.

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"When me and my family were driving around the south coast of Spain and our car broke down in the middle of nowhere, we walked back to a small village we had recently driven past. Hardly anyone was around. We meet one Spanish man that spoke no English at all, he took us to this small cozy restaurant close by, which was his. He insisted that we had something to eat and he made us this lovely meal and treated us like family. His kindness and hospitality were beyond something we had ever experienced before. While we ate, he had his friend pick up our car to look at it. He manages to fix our car and when we were about to leave, we wanted to pay for all this trouble, but they would not let us. I will always remember the kindness of these men."

Eva was an excellent resource before and during the trip when things didn't go exactly according to plan. I highly recommend her, as well as Sky Lagoon, the Lava Tunnel, the Lava Show in Vik, and driving around the magical landscape that is Iceland. read more

Overall, the planning and support by Eva of Iceland Untouched was terrific. We had a small hiccup in that the airport transfer for one of two couples on arrival never showed due to a travel agent miscommunication, but was remedied quickly. If there were any complaints, I would say there was very little down time. We were constantly moving in a hurry to keep on schedule. Because the days were planned around our ability to stay in certain hotels, when one hotel was unavailable, the driving went... read more

Just returned from a brilliant trip to Iceland and have to thank Eva for putting together such a wonderful itinerary! As a "type A" trip planner kind of person, I am usually in charge of all of the details surrounding any trip we take as a family and/or with friends. That said, releasing everything to a stranger wasn't easy at first but the communication and suggestions from Eva quickly helped put me at ease. Hotels, tours, driving itineraries, etc - it was done with excellence and all... read more
