Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Seminyak
Welcome to Bali! You'll meet your driver at the airport for a transfer to your hotel in Seminyak. Spend some time exploring the animated streets filled with restaurants and shops, then take in the sunset from a beach beanbag.
Day 2: Bukit Peninsula Excursion
Drive out to the southern Bukhit Peninsula for today's itinerary. You'll start at Pura Luhur Uluwatu, a forested hilltop overlooking the ocean and home to a mischievous monkey population. Then stop at Balangan Beach for lunch and a cocktail while watching the surfers on the waves. Stick around to watch a traditional Kecak dance show in the evening.
Day 3: Free Day in Seminyak
Take the day for yourself to see what else Seminyak has to offer. Go shopping for souvenirs, relax on the beach or poolside, or indulge in a spa treatment—or venture even further afield with a driver's help.
Day 4: Seminyak to Ubud
You'll head to Ubud in the morning, but make a stop at Sukawati on the way. The market here is widely known for its range of offerings, including textiles, paintings, and fruits and vegetables. Then arrive in Ubud in the afternoon, where you can explore the museums or markets as you settle in.
Day 5: Temple Tour
Explore the area around Ubud, starting at the Sacred Monkey Forest, which is home to many of its namesake furry residents. Next up is the Bedulu Goa Gajah archaeological site, a ninth-century temple also known as "the basement of the elephant.” Follow that with the cliffside monuments of Pura Gunung Kawi and the Gunung Kawi temple dedicated to King Anak Wungsu. Return to Ubud via the rice terraces of Tegalalang.
Day 6: Walking & Bike Excursions
Start off with a walk through the countryside, passing through rice fields, villages, and plantations where you can learn about the many ways the natural flora of the island are used. Break for lunch, then get rolling with a bike tour through the Ubud area along roads and small paths through the jungle and more rice fields, stopping to smell and sample at the local markets.
Day 7: Balinese Cooking Class
Visit a traditional Balinese house for an afternoon or evening cooking class. Join a small group and learn how to combine local spices, vegetables, and other ingredients to create delicate Balinese flavors for lunch or dinner. Relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor within the garden.
Day 8: Depart Ubud
Transfer to Denpasar Airport to head home or onward to your next adventure.
