One of my first trips to Iceland's highlands was a life-changing experience. Since then, I've been helping people explore the most remote corners of Iceland's interior, whether on glaciers or in lava tubes. If I had to recommend one thing to do while in Iceland, it would be to remember that the journey itself is the destination!

How did you get involved in travel?
"My journey in the adventure tourism industry began as a Superjeep expert for a small company in Iceland, where I specialized in driving modified large 4x4 vehicles into the most remote areas of the highlands. Since then, I've had the opportunity to explore a range of exciting roles, from bus guide and snowmobile guide to ice climbing guide. These diverse experiences have allowed me to develop a deep understanding of Iceland's unique landscape and the best ways to experience it. I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge and expertise with others, and I'm always looking for new ways to help people discover the magic of Iceland's wild attractions. "
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"As a snowmobile guide, one of my most memorable experiences was taking clients on northern lights tours on top of Langjökull glacier. Born and raised in Iceland, I've seen the northern lights countless times and thought I had seen it all. But on this particular night, with perfect clear skies and a high KP index due to a coronal mass ejection, the sky exploded with color. The aurora was so vivid and vibrant, with every color of the rainbow visible to the naked eye. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and nothing short of breathtaking. I'll never forget the sight of the bright red aurora dancing across the sky, a color that even the best camera could not fully capture."

Before the trip, to be honest, within the family, we have been debating whether or not we should use the Kimkim service as it is not cheap at all. After the trip, I have to say we are very glad that we did!
Halldór and Silvia have saved me enormous research time to customize a trip that fits the very different needs and interests of 4 family members. My mom, brother, husband and I all had a great time in Iceland. Everyone’s wishes were fulfilled.
They have also saved me a lot of time and... read more
