Jason Kearney
I am originally from Ireland. Having being born on a farm I always had a natural inclination for the outdoors. I am married and live in Lima Peru (big city change!) with my family. My first visit to Latin America was in 2002 when I ventured on many hiking excursions and fell in love with the immensity of the landscapes and people along the way. I returned many times and travelled across very many countries, each one has their own surprises and captivating moments.
My approach in creating exceptional experiences is simple:
1. Listen. This way I learn your preferences
2. Offer my in-depth advice, which is always honest
3. Be creative with itineraries and inspire
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"We offer trips across multiple destinations across Latin America. From the Panama Canal to Cape Horn we can make it happen. Our trips are never off the shelf and are individually crafted for the very best outcomes. I think our local knowledge from having seen and done these trips offers a unique perspective from which our travellers benefit.
Popular activities are hiking, biking, food tours, water sports and cultural journeys to know , in depth, the people and places along the way."
How did you get involved in travel?
"Growing up in Ireland I remember at nine years of age sitting down and planning a trip for my mother and father along the west coast of the country. I loved geography and knew all the capitals of the world, so I guess I was born with some travel genes and curiosity. I think curiosity is a big element of people that love to venture out beyond the unfamiliar. I worked for the family transport business for many years and had opportunity to travel across Europe. The addiction to travel led me to the shores of Latin America."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"Reaching the summit of the Ausangate Trek in Peru at 17,000 feet with a group of friends. They were a diverse bunch and one would have never seen some as mountaineers. The journey to get there was a landmark journey in life."

This was an excellent and amazing vacation!
Hard to single out one place. I learned a lot about a part of the world that I never really thought about. It was exciting to be in Buenos Aires when they won the soccer championship. We were there at the right time to share their joy. All places we visited were beautiful. The guides were excellent. I can only say that it opened up a whole world I was ignorant of. We have been to Europe several times. This trip gave me a new understanding of... read more

Thank you Jason for planning such a wonderful trip for Jim and me. All your arrangements worked out perfectly, from pick up at the airport in Santiago to our departure on the last day from Puerto Natales. Felipe, our guide in Santiago, was amazing. He had such a thorough grasp of Santiago’s history, the people and the politics. We learned so much from him as we toured the city. Lunch at Boscanariz was a delicious surprise and gave us an education in Chilean wines. The Atacama Desert was... read more

Jason, our travel agent, was very helpful and attentive. He was very receptive to feedback and promptly incorporated my input into a revised travel plan. Jason was very easy to work with, and I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking to travel in Latin America. I think the only way for the trip planning to be easier is if Jason could read my mind, because it was sometimes difficult to describe the types of adventures that would interest me and my family. ... read more

We had a wonderful trip - every detail was considered! It was so nice and relaxing for our first trip to South America to know that all the lodging, travel and transfers were scheduled and taken care of.
Our hotel in Palermo, Be Jardin Escondido by Coppola, was one of the favorite places we have ever stayed. The space and our room with the balcony overlooking the garden was so charming and cozy, but the true highlight were the staff - who were all so so so helpful and accomodating. I... read more

We had a great two-week trip around Argentina. The trip includes a good balance of history, culture, scenery, and cuisine in each of the locations we visited. The hotels that we stayed in are either in really good locations or every interesting settings.
The tours themselves were excellent overall and had plenty of photo opportunities, activities, and food. The horseback riding in Mendoza and Iguazú Falls are notable highlights! We didn't visit the salt flats during the rainy season, so... read more
Hi Frances,
Thanks for your trip review. I am glad that you had a very enjoyable experience along the way and a fine insight to Argentina . I agree, the salt flats are indeed a good distance from Salta and in the dry season can be less impressive than the flooded months of January and February. I am glad to hear that the tours were, in totality, of a high standard for you.
We look forward to having you back again. I can help you with tours in Peru, Chile, Brazil, Ecuador and the Galapagos.... read more

The trip was truly exceptional. The Amazon is a great adventure for anyone traveling with teenage boys. Our guide Robert was patient and able to help us spot monkeys, sloths, spiders, birds and caimans. The next stop was visiting the Sacred Valley. Our guide Dennis gave us a great foundation in Incan history prior to us heading to Machu Picchu. He made looking at the tiered potato fields interesting by talking about the debunked theories around their existence - such as meteorites and... read more
