He knew which Marriott ( out of three in Cusco) he supposed to go ? He knew it to begin with !!

I am SERIOUSLY worry about other passenger ( all young girls from Denmark). I have considered to call the local police.

Kimkim is ultimately responsible for my case at least. I will post this experience to public to aware !!

I was so impressed with our trip, and I thank Liz Karen. When I decided to visit Peru, I looked into a group tour from a big company. But my husband discovered KimKim, and we contacted them. Liz Karen did a phenomenal job putting together a trip customized to the things we wanted to do. We also were happy with the pricing, which was less than the big company group tour I had originally planned.

Hotels were moderate-quality as requested, and we were happy with them overall. Each offered us an included breakfast daily. The Lima Arawi was an easy 15 minute walk from from the coast and the big Larcomar shopping area.

Casa Biru in Cusco was a favorite. We loved the courtyard inside it and sat there often. We made friends with the gentleman who ran the little shop between the courtyard and the street. We ate at the attached Bistro 390 restaurant and loved the reasonably-priced delicious meals, as well as the included daily breakfasts.

Susanna Inn in Aguas Calientes struggled a bit with a toilet that was stopped up when we arrived and quite a bit of noise at night (shouting, trains right outside the window). However, it was right by downtown and the breakfast there was amazing -- the best on our trip. The view from the breakfast room was right out on the river; beautiful.

Liz Karen put together a great group of guides for us. Rafael/Ramon? in Lima was nice, told us a LOT about the city's history, and helped us find a good ATM to use during our tour. We learned so much from him. David took us the Sacseyhuaman and told us much about its history. He was intelligent and cared about tailoring the tour to our interests. Daniel did a good job at the Moras Salt Mines and Moray, although this tour was less good than our others due to half or more of the narration being in Spanish (our group had Spanish and English speakers). Adriel, who took us to Pisac and Ollantaytambo, was the true star of the trip. WOW he knew a lot, and also was super alert to everyone's needs throughout our day, dropping people various places where they needed to be. I never saw him on his phone, etc. during the day. Ibrahin at Machu Picchu told us so much about the landmark (the reason for the trip to begin with) and again tailored the tour to our expectations. He also took several excellent photos for us and recommended spots that were goot for photography.

As far as memorable places -- Machu Picchu of course; I also loved Ollantaytambo which was impressive too but which I had never heard of. I loved shopping the markets and I loved Cusco a lot. The Peruvian people were so friendly and helpful. I also loved the women around town dressed in traditional clothing and with alpacas and lambs for photography. Another thing we did that I enjoyed was attend the evening program of dancing and music. This was included on a ticket we had and was an easy walk from our hotel.

Each driver was there on time (a couple of times they were 5 minutes later, but the came quickly after). It was so nice not to have to worry about getting where we needed to go or needing to navigate an unfamiliar city.

We totally loved the trip and would recommend KimKim and Liz Karen to others. Gracias!

The sounds of the rainforest, the night hikes, swimming in the Amazon River, watching for pink dolphins, and fishing for piranhas are some of the highlights of the low jungle/rainforest experience. We enjoyed the continuity of spending time with our Cusco to Sacred Valley driver Michael, as we toured Sacred Valley the following day. Our 1 day Inca trail hike to Machu Picchu was an amazing experience with our guides Jamie and Nester. They took care of our meals and our health as we completed the challenging trek arriving at the Sun gate to enjoy the awesome experience entering into Machu Picchu from above. We completed our tour of Peru with an amazing journey to Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain with Edwin. A delicious breakfast & lunch were prepared special to accommodate our vegetarian requests at the private restaurant, Tullpu. Paul, was always available to answer questions through WhatsApp regarding flight delays & reminders for tour briefings. I highly recommend KimKim for Peru travel. We will look to them for our next international vacation.

It's a very cozy beautiful hotel that is located close top the downtown area. It's beautifully decorated. The included breakfast was good. Our windows faced the street and it was pretty loud at night. neighbors were talking for a couple of hours and that was disturbing.

A beautiful place close to the train station and the main market. If you're reading this, you should know that their check out time is 9AM which in understandable; nobody goes to Machu Picchu for an hour or so. I am grateful that our guide told us of a storage room where we left all our luggage while on a tour. You have to pay! Have local money with you!

I want to thank Liz for all her help in preparing for this trip including all the different activities. We spent more time in Cusco/Machu Picchu which actually turned out to be the best part of the trip. Our Cusco hotel was close to the town center, so a walk away from all the delicious food places! (Although there was some construction around our hotel, which made the walking a little tough - especially with bags, but we had help from hotel and driver both to carry our bags). We spent a day in Juno and Lima and I think they were adequate for our preference.

I would highly recommend anyone in future to book with Kimkim.

Shared Trek to Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain

This was probably the only experience that was subpar for our family - we left at 5 am in morning and the car did NOT have heat - we froze for the first hour and the breakfast place was very cold too - it warmed up when we got to the mountain - around 9 am but our body was very cold by then. The trek is simple and mountain views are great - although rainbow mountain is NOT as vibrant as you see in the videos/photos! It could be due to the time of the year. The food place was also not good - breakfast was terrible - lunch was ok. The guide was awesome - the only reason I am giving 3 stars to this trip - she helped us through the altitude sickness and kept encouraging us to make the trip through the

Pisac was ok - more of a shopping tour - however, Ollantaytambo was really good! Need to watch out for the climb. The train to Machu Picchu is a comfortable ride. Maybe travel agent should provide the option to the customer about 360 train (understand it will be more expensive)

They also made sure we could get some good photos and views while walking around each site, and did their best to ensure our safety while trekking in the high altitude.
Liz and Paul, who were in charge of planning and organizing the trip were the absolute best. They helped us plan things until the last minute and made sure to help us even during issues we face during our immigration at the airport. Really glad to have picked their services for our trip.

Wonderful experience. Working with Liz made the difference. She picked up great hotels, booked great day trips, arranged all the pick up / drop off activities with good knowledge of the area. The Inka trail adventure lead by Javier Clemente was another success 😊 thank to the entire team (lead, cook, cook helper and all the porters, friends).

A week well spent and planned in Peru- starting from Lima, going to Cuzco, day trips, Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain- all day tours were great and memorable. Some days were quite long- this had to do with my limited time (1 week) but all in all the week went well and all excursions worked out and no delays anywhere. I would have liked to have a more extensive tour at MP and if would have known my tour was combined with a small group that just had 2 hours time.

All guides, excursions started prompt- hotel and airport pick-ups always very punctual- this is a great advantage of KimKim. Also having an operational manager available per whats-app is super.

I would definitely recommend the Rainbow Mountain tour- its a long day, but very worthwhile. And include the Amazonia in your trip- I stayed at the InkaTerra and that was such a lovely experience.

The itinerary is very helpful- you know day by day what to expect and there were no unexpected changes. Also all the flights were booked and with the LATAM app its very easy to check-in and board the plane.

All in all a great week.

Very quiet location and quiet hotel- people respect each other and at night you can sleep really well. Great breakfast and good beds and shower- nice touch was the warm water jug in bed on night one. Other nights I did not get this, yet it was cold. Wifi signal very good and would definitely recommend this place if you look for a eco-friendly hotel with a personal touch- very attentive staff!

Very close to the hotel is a great organic restaurant- walk down 1,5 blocks for a great meal.

In the middle of nature- amazing rooms, they have all the luxury you need and the location is fabulous. There is a lot of good detail such as the oil lamp in the bathroom at night, flashlight, hammocks in your room with great view, space for safe storage, great bed covered by mosquito net. The excursions were great and not rushed at all. Food was wonderful- buffet for breakfast as well as a menu for eggs, pancakes, lunch and dinner a la carte and wide variety of tasty options. Nice lounge area in the main building.

Tips for future travelers

Yes- the hotel should instruct visitors more about keeping quiet and be aware that rooms are " open" and just be mindful and respectful to all guests and not scream.

They made our trip comfortable, punctual, with guides that were fluent in English and very knowledgeable about everything. Our first guide in Lima was Massiel who was very good and showed us around Lima and helped us with the local logistics. Our second guide in Cusco and Sacred Valley was Alexandra. We've been to over 16 countries and used so many guides and Alexandra was the best. Very personable, knowledgeable (knew all the great spots to eat especially with 2 vegetarians on the trip). Our final guide who came with us to the Inca trail was Joel and he was an expert in everything Inca (food, flora, fauna, Machu Picchu). All these guides were also excellent photographers, finding the right spots for some amazing pictures and memories. All the drivers who accompanied the guides were also very good, getting us on time and safely. Finally the person behind all this was Liz. From the day we landed, she was on Whatsapp with me, making sure we were in good hands. Great experience and will be using them again !

Alexandria was the best guide we had through the tour. Regardless of us having altitude sickness we made an attempt to take the tour later than the usual time in Cusco. The moment we met her she made us feel at home through the day & tour. She is just amazing, left us with beautiful memories.
Gabriel was equally good at Agus Calientes and up until Machu Picchu! He made sure kids were comfortable & answered every bit of those silly questions they had.
Gloria was too good during our stay at LIMA hotel. Took us around the city & gave us a tour around the musical water fountain. Kids had a wonderful time

We used kimkim travel for a recent trip to Peru over 9 days. We had a variety of places we wanted to visit - the rainforest, Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, Lima, Cusco. Apart from international flights ( that we booked ourselves) and 2 days in Lima, they helped plan activities, domestic transport, flights, hotel bookings and tickets to attractions. Highly recommended for travelers ( especially families with young children) who do not want to struggle with local language challenges, ticket availability at attractions, and local transport needs. Special shout out for the accommodation plans - all the hotels / lodges we stayed in were comfortable, and suited our requirements well! (Hotel Dazzler in Lima, Hilton Garden Inn in Cusco, Del Pilar in Ollantaytambo, and family run lodges in Manu National Park)

Cusco Journeys ( Jaime and Lucho) picked us up from Cusco and gave us a great experience over 2 nights and 3 days. They ensured we had good local immersion - home cooked meals ( breakfast and dinner), taking us to "non-touristy" locations and helping us to shop local as well. The kids had a great experience at an animal rescue center, and looked forward to the interesting details Lucho shared about various birds. Jaime took us through the local culture and history and provided interesting anecdotes about events. We thoroughly enjoyed their company!
Suggestion for improvement for this part of the trip : Wish we had been warned beforehand about the bad roads + long drive to Manu national park. We were on the road for the better part of 2 days, and though we had a good experience at the end, would have prepared better if we had known earlier.

Andean Travel handled our trip through the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. Alexandra, our guide through the Sacred Valley, answered all our questions very patiently, and she was a treasure trove of information! Also, she was a great hit with the kids since she brought them locally made dolls. Javier was our guide at Machu Picchu; in place of the usual 2 hour tour, he was with us for 4 hours and made sure we didnt miss any aspect of the historic location. Excellent experience!

All in all, would highly recommend Kimkim since they work with the best. Would definitely use their services again!

Our 13 day trip to Peru was fabulous! This is the first time I have used any kind of travel service and I will use one again. The activities planned were exactly what we wanted, the multiple, multiple transfers were seamless, the guides were wonderful, and the entire experience was great.

Liz made all the arrangements and the few times that I had questions she was available to answer. A welcome surprise that she arranged for us was a cooking class. That is not something I would have done on my own and it was fun and the food was fantastic.

I highly recommend Kimkim and Liz!!!

Everything went like clockwork with our trip, no snags at all with all of the connections and transfers, etc. Our guides were all excellent and the recommended hotels were all excellent. We hope to return to Peru someday and will definitely be contacting Kimkim for our next trip.

Oscar was an outstanding guide for four days. Our itinerary originally included an early morning horseback ride to Rainbow Mountain. We just weren’t up for it mentally or physically and tried to get in touch with our KimKim representative by email but we’re unsuccessful. We did not realize that because it was a Sunday we needed to call. That should have been made clear to us.

Otherwise, all was great!

Overall, it was a great experience.
I was particularly grateful for our guide Oscar, and regret that he was not our guide at Machu Puchu.
I now know that I would need 2 full days in Cusco BEFORE rainbow mountain and would plan more down time for recovery between tours. The schedule was too aggressive for me and my needs.

The overall experience is ok,but I wonder if something urgent happens and I need some help,who should I turn to? There were several times I failed to contact the travel agent and when I turned to Kimkim I find the contact person and number is the same number I have and have failed to get in touch.Besides the quality of some local guides needs improving. Everyone seems to tell his own stories. We don’t know who to believe.
