Miha organized a fantastic trip for my wife and my honeymoon in Slovenia. He was super flexible in accommodating our interests of outdoors activities (hiking, biking, rafting) with high quality dining options and boutique hotels, allowing us to pack a ton into our 10-day trip without feeling overwhelmed nor rushed. We also felt like we were able to get a good sense of the different regional characteristics of each place we visited due to the way Miha put our trip together.

Miha quickly responded to our requests/questions and crafted a trip that let us have flexibility on the day, without having to worry about any of the small stuff (car rentals, hotel reservations, even where to park).

We could give a full list of our highlights but that would be too long; however, we must give a high recommendation to Soča Splash rafting in Bovec, Winestronaut wine tours in the Vipava Valley, and Majerija for dinner.

Trip turned out to be well thought out, with the right mix of activities and places to stay. Having the entire trip and the hike maps available in apps is great and very convenient. Although there were some complicated logistics involved (transfer of luggage, mixed trips hiking + biking etc.), everything worked out 100% (e.g., pick up at 8:40 to drive to rafting = pick up at 8:40 on the mark). We have done several trips like this across the world. The service provided by Domen I would rate among the highest if not the highest. Many thanks to Domen and Slotrips.

He quickly accommodated last-minute changes to our schedule (e.g., an unplanned but very worthwhile stop in Lubljana; changing the day of our fishing trip), and provided feedback on activities we discovered en route. Altogether, the trip was planned just enough to avoid the stress of finding places to stay and eat, but with enough flexibility to allow spontaneous, spur-of-the-moment activities. The ability to switch digitally from places on the overall trip plan to Google maps driving instructions made navigation easy and painless. It made for a very diverse and fascinating trip, which we enjoyed immensely.

Local specialists Tomaz and Jala were both excellent in helping piecing together an excellent itinerary which included the places I wanted to see (Lake Bled, the Julian Alps etc) and the activities I wanted experience including hiking, paragliding and whitewater rafting. The Seven Lakes trek through the Julian Alps was both challenging and spectacular, just the way I like it to be. Highlight of the trek for me was Lake Krn, coloured green by the minerals and surrounded by the reddish brown autumnal leaves. Jala did a brilliant job helping me find my hostel by phone when returning to Bled after finishing the trek. All local guides were brilliant in helping me find my way around as well as assisting with the local covid protocols. Paragliding above Lake Bohijn's reflections was amazing while lake Bled, the Jewel in Slovenia's Crown, was so relaxing, especially while enjoying the delicious Bled cakes! Finally, the capital, Ljubljana was very pleasant, especially when colourfully lit up at night. From Ljubljana, I had enough to time explore how spectacular Slovenia is underneath with a day trip to Postojna Cave. My first ever KimKim trip was both and exciting and relaxing experience, so well done during very difficult times in which to travel with the pandemic. Hoping for some more such memorable experiences in 2022.

Petra did a great job helping us to organize our trip to Slovenia! We did four tours in the five days we were there. Ljubljana was our home base and it is an amazing city. Our guide for the food tour was Jasmine and she was very fun! She gave us wonderful ideas for restaurants to visit. The Predjama castle and Postojna Cave were amazing! A must see! Tour guide, Val, was very knowledgeable and so friendly! We did a 1/2 day Bled Fairytale tour with Borut as our tour guide. We chose not to take the boat to the island since it was winter. The other 2 on the tour did take the boat and Borut was accommodating and made sure we had other things to do when they were on the island. However, the boat was 30 minutes late getting back and we waited at the pick up point in the cold. This made us late going up to the castle so by the time we got there it was dark and we couldn’t see the mountains. The last excursion was the Karst and Coast tour. This was by far our favorite day! We had a private tour with Borut and he was amazing! His knowledge of his country’s history is impressive. Since we were not interested in going to another cave he custom built our day. Strolling the streets of Piran and sipping wine at a cafe by the Adriatic Sea was our favorite part of all of these great tours!

Domen, our local trip specialist from Ljubljana, did an excellent job planning even more activities than we had time to enjoy, so each day there were options. He responded to our many questions and concern with patience and in detail.

Slovenia offers stunning geography, wonderful food, and warm hospitality. Hiking through the Julian Alps and along the Soca River can be challenging with some steep inclines and miles of uneven surfaces to navigate. You need to be fit and wear good boots- all worthwhile when you’re immersed in the natural beauty.

We were provided with with a local phone and a detailed itinerary with maps and navigation for each segment of the trip. We had problems with the Android phone, but found that we could download the maps and itinerary details into our iPhones which worked better for us.

We started in Prague and first meet with Sasha our contact. Sasha reviewed our trip and had several suggestions. Our guides in Prague were all outstanding, being willing to answer all our questions. In all cases our transfers to the next city was seamless, thank you so much.
Budapest was the same, a great experience.

If we have to put a negative into this section, the only thing is the five day walk around the three lakes. This is so minor but here we go. Day two had us walking through very muddy trails which really were unsuitable, we should have returned to our hotel by the way we came. Day four had us walking along a path covered by fallen trees which really needed clearing. At times we thought we would have to turn back.

Just wished our initial briefing contained more information on the android phone operation and bike cover use with android. Miha was very responsive and really facilitated my recovery of my Fed Ex package!

Accommodations, hiking and biking suggestions, food at restaurants and huts -- all were excellent. We especially enjoyed our stay at Kekec Homestead in Trenta. And the private cave tour at Skocjan was perfect.

Miha planned us a great trip. The only reason I didn't give him 5 stars was that he forgot to let us know more about the phone & it was frustrating for the first bit. However, the rest of his service was definitely 5 stars.

This trip was the highlight of my time in Europe! I told them I wanted to hike and they planned a trip that was challenging in exactly the way I wanted it to be. They partnered with an excellent tour group located in Lake Bled who were extremely helpful upon my arrival.

Hiking to the top of Mt Triglav and staying in huts along the way was a beautiful way to experience Slovenia. I highly recommend it!

Then we met Midja, who was the nicest driver and really went out of his way to give us the best tour. He took us on a few detours that turned out to be scenic as well as practical. He walked with us to the ticket offices, helped check us into our accommodations, and even accompanied us on some short hikes. We thought Postonja Caves was very touristy but still worth the trip. We absolutely loved Skocjan Caves and would go there again. The Predjama Castle was also awesome, but I would also have liked to take the tour below the castle through the caves there. I was glad Piran was kept on the list, even though it was not on my list, but Piran turned out to be a gem. I would have stayed another day had I known was a sweet place it is. Our rafting trip in Bovec on the Soca River was really fun and memorable. We got in a lot of walking/hiking and Midja took us to see interesting places on the way to and out of Bovec, such as Ravelnic, the trenches from WWI, and Kluza Fortress. Going over the Vrsic Pass with Midja driving was a very nice experience. He stopped several times for us to admire the scenery and stretch. Lake Bled was a bit more busy than we expected, but Midja took us on a wondrous tour on our way to Lake Bohinj. We walked one way along the Vintgar Gorge, and drove through a high plateau and around the lake. He taught us about local food in a restaurant up at Vogel. Our last day was spent biking through some of the most scenic Alpine villages on our way to Radovljica, to experience the Slovenian bees. Our bike tour guide was very considerate and I could have talked with the beekeeper in Selo for hours.

Miha put together the exact trip that was asked of him. It was a 2-week adventure that showed off the beauty of Slovenia. The hiking was outstanding and right for this group. The cellphone-guided, hut to hut part was well organized. The huts were each a different experience and fun. The guided part of our trip, with Aljaz, was also much fun. Aljaz was bright, flexible, fun to be with, and led us on yet more adventures.

Miha, Aljaz, and Kimkim are all worthy of high praise and a very strong recommendation.

This trip was incredibly good. Our specialist, Miha Ganter, listened to what we wanted to do and made the itinerary fit our desires. Plus he checked up on us on a regular basis. Our trip combined hiking for both of us with fly fishing for my husband. The fly fishing trips were wonderful, according to my husband, with good guides and beautiful rivers. Miha had arranged the days so I could take some simple hikes on my own during those days - plus there was a spa! All in all, the itinerary from Miha took us to some incredibly beautiful places. We had no idea so much beauty, and such varied beauty, could be located in such a small country!
All the accommodations were good. Two stand out. First, Vila Park at Lake Bohinj. The proprietor talks to all her guests and finds out what they want to do. She was especially helpful to us as she knew exactly how long each hike would take (we were a little slower than the 'average' time). Most importantly, she made the very welcome suggestion that we take the bus to Lake Bled instead of driving. The bus stop was right next to her B&B, and we had a relaxed and enjoyable day without the hassle of traffic. The second place I want to mention was one of the highlights of my life of traveling -- Hotel Dobra Villa in Bovec. The place was lovely, the grounds were lovely, but the personal expertise and talents of the staff were just amazing. The person in charge made everything look beautiful. Not only did he run the B&B flawlessly, but he was the person who designed the gardens. The chef was amazing! Two of the best meals of our lives were there. I am so grateful to Miha for sending us there.
I also took advantage of the suggestions Miha made for activities. Two that stand out are the Flower Power Walk at Bovec and the stupendously exciting and beautiful rafting adventure with SocaSplash. There were so many rafting companies in Bovec and I would never have been able to figure out which one fit our desires without Miha's advice.
Driving the car was not a problem, but it did take us quite a bit longer than the estimated time. Sometimes roads were closed; sometimes we just missed turns. Our GPS card did not work as it was supposed to, but in talking to Miha we are the only people who have ever experienced difficulties. I think that the problems were caused by our phone which evidently didn't sync quite correctly.
We found driving in Piran to be very stressful. Miha had thought we could park for an hour or so in front of the hotel - which turned out not to be the case. The hotel wanted us to move immediately as they said the police absolutely loved giving parking tickets to tourists. We would recommend driving to the public parking garage and parking the car, then having the hotel shuttle come and pick you up. Piran itself was lovely! I had asked Miha to give us guidance for another hiking trip for our last day, which he did. However, it turned out his original plan was best -- we just sat under an umbrella and watched the people play in the ocean while eating ice cream. It was great.

Couldn't ask for some one more prompt in his response like Miha, the travel specialist. Kudos to Primoz, my guide, for his patience with a level-zero noob like me from the city. Loads of gratitude to my warm hearted travel companions from Spain.

People /hikers are friendly, accommodation fantastic, and this is a great country to visit and a great concept to have a smartphone with trail details and a “demanding voice” to tell when off course. :)

From the outset, the organization of the itinerary, with the explanations, and various options presented on the Kim Kim App let me know that I was in for a exciting experience. The group communication, coordination, and sorting out of various people’s issues worked beautifully and was very reassuring. We knew we were in good hands.
The personal itinerary that each person could save as an app on their smartphone and share with friends and family was such a great touch. We always had access to it and could easily use it to discuss what was coming next, what we wanted to do, and when and where we needed to be. Everyone was able to be on the same page at the same time. The restaurant recommendations were also wonderful.
The coup de grace was the personal smartphone with the trip information, GPS directions for the hikes and bike rides, emergency contacts, and local data plan. We never felt lost. Well okay... a few times ;-) where the trail was covered by snow or overgrown. But we were quickly and easily able to find our way and get back on track by following the blue line. What a way to leverage new technologies and set a new standard for adventure travel!!! Again, I was super impressed.
After the first few days of self-guided success, we wondered why we even needed a guide for the second half. Yet Aljaž brought us a whole new level of understanding and appreciation. He brought us to a few more out of the way places that would have been harder to reach on our own. He was very attentive and accommodating to the desires of the group. We learned a lot from him about Slovenia, it’s history, and culture. I found his excitement and love for his country infectious and he really became part to the group. We were sorry to see him go at the end.
You guys really hit a home run in my book. (and that’s coming from a very seasoned traveler). Thank you for a wonderful and very memorable experience! I will recommend you highly to anyone looking for a similar trip!

Aljaz, our tour specialist was fantastic! Our trip was planned exactly to our "wants"! We loved the suggestions from Aljaz and our accommodation everywhere was amazing. We had 3 weeks touring Croatia & Slovenia and would never have known all the little stops that made our trip so much fun. We loved the beer fountain in Slovenia - so cool. Kimkim is the best way to travel if you want to do your own thing but still know you have a bed booked and all the sites on offer if you're wanting to keep busy. Slovenia was awesome. I loved the trekking - quite challenging sometimes, especially in the Alps/ mountains/ hills , but always interesting. While we thoroughly enjoyed the adventure of taking an independent trip, we were always supported, felt safe and never felt alone. His recommendations were wonderful from the daily adventures (which included some frequently visited tourist spots but also many off the beat more quiet but super spectacular spots) to restaurants and accommodations.

Our guide, Bostjan, was incredibly nice, interesting and helpful. It was so nice not to have to worry about driving places and how to get there. I loved seeing Piran but would have liked more time there and more information about the town and its history. I also loved the winery he took us to, which was a great experience and very different. The region was particularly beautiful. In general, again, I would have liked more information on our surroundings.
It may have been due to the fact that we didn't plan our trip too far in advance so I'm not necessarily faulting Miha, but I didn't know the details of what we were going to be doing on the two days with the guide and would have liked an opportunity to decide after a more in depth conversation about the alternatives. I had to call the guide a day before we were leaving for Prague to ask about it and discuss some possibilities since I hadn't heard from anyone.
I also really loved our hiking experience with Bostjan. He did a great job of figuring out what would be both interesting, scenic and manageable for me with some knee problems and not being as adept a hiker as my husband. He was an expert driver on the windy mountain roads and planned a really wonderful hike.
Things I didn't find so interesting: walk through a bird sanctuary, since it wasn't particularly culturally interesting and birds had already flown south, and spending time in Lake Bled. Again, I'm not necessarily faulting the tour company for spending time in Bled since I had heard a great deal about it and it is a pretty famous site. It certainly was pretty and we had some great meals in local restaurants, and also went to the nearby gorge. However, it's very crowded and touristy and I think I would have preferred knowing a bit more about that aspect of it through talking with the tour company, and maybe spending time in a home stay overnight in the countryside instead or something like that. My favorite part of visiting Lake Bled was actually taking a different route back from the gorge and walking through the forest and two local villages back to Lake Bled. We were not able to rent bicycles there because the only places that were open didn't have any small enough for me, but it turned out to be fine to walk.

The best recommendation would be using the service again and we will certainly be doing that. We like to be independent travellers but had found ourselves getting exhausted by planning and researching what to do tomorrow on our adventures. Now we have the solution. The best recommendation would be using the service again and we will certainly be doing that. Let someone else who knows your chosen holiday location intimately do that for you. We gave Miha, the local man, our interests and guidelines and he planned the best experience I've ever had on holidays. Slovenia can take some credit too. Such variety all close to each other.

However, we were given a 54 page booklet of our trip, complete with suggested activities, websites, maps, phone numbers, opening times and tips that made our days travel so easy and accessible. Then, on meeting with Miha in Ljubljana, he handed over a phone, ours for the length of the trip, with all those things loaded and one tap and up came the route on google maps or the phone number to the local special restaurant that only the locals would know. It’s hard to say what was our favourite place in Slovenia. Miha chose totally different but equally enchanting destinations and accommodations from mountain farmhouse in the Julian Alps to Boutique hotel in Ljubljana to luxury resorts in Rovinj. A smorgasbord of interesting places to stay in a country that offers a smorgasboard of sites and experiences. So, I’d certainly recommend Kimkim and Miha in particular.

I used Miha to organise our bike tour to Slovenia. the tour was tailored to meet our specific requirements and didn't disappoint. Eveything on the tour was to expectation from accomodation, to transfers rigth through to the detailed routes for the tours. I would highlty recommend Miha to anyone who wants to organise a trip to Slovenia.

We loved that Miha gave us a lot of flexibility in the planning and our trip was a perfect balance of activities and relaxation time. There were so many favorite spots that we wouldn't have the time to list them all. However I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend Miha for your Slovenia and Croatia trip. All the guides spoke great English and were very friendly, and very knowledgeable. Kim Kim and their travel planners are the perfect way to go if you don't like to be in big groups and want to have the freedom and flexibility and most of all independence from a strict schedule.

The week with slotrips was fabulous.
The tour was extremely well planned. It had everything . Fantastic hikes in the mountains. The via ferrata was great fun. The lakes were beautiful . The final dinner was sooo good .
The wine tasting was special. The lady from the vineyard gave great explanations and the food was delicious at her place . The visit to the caves was very interesting.
We had two guides for the trip : Anya and Domer. They were both terrific. Very knowledgeable , patient and fun.

The trip to Slovenia exceeded our expectations. Stasa planned an amazing itinerary and I did not realize the extent of the concierge service we would get. In a short week, we did an amazing hike in Triglav National Park, paddle boarded Lake Bled, wine tasted, rafted the Soca River, went canyoning, had a picnic/swam at a beautiful waterfall in Bovec to name just a FEW highlights. Stasa even took the kids out to pizza and gelato so the adults could have an amazing dining experience at Hisa Franko run by Anna Ros featured on Netflix Chef's Table.

Stasa's knowledge and history of the area is remarkable, she was fun, her logistics were impeccable, and was very flexible. The van that carried our crew of 4 adults and three children throughout the trip was spacious,comfortable, and clean.

If anyone is considering traveling in this area and in search of a guide, Stasa is a must! I could not imagine anyone delivering a more memorable experience for our families.

My 4 star review instead of 5 is due to a Kim Kim issue in which there seemed to be some confusion when two families are both on a single itinerary. Our billing was confused as an example and our family was billed the incorrect amount at first but that being said was corrected quickly when I discovered this and brought it to your attention.

Miha organised the trip so well to suit our style. He made it easy. Everything was organised from the printed itinerary to the mobile phone on loan! Nothing went wrong and we really enjoyed the hike.

We spent a wonderful two weeks driving around Slovenia, seeing the sights and taking lovely day hikes. Domen and Miha both worked with us designing a unique trip. We visited both the usual tourist sights and some that were specific to our interests. They gave us gps tracks to quiet, solitary day hikes with amazing views. My Trip to Slovenia started off with a request to “Solo hike through the alps, away from crowds and tourists". Miha contacted me and wanted to understand what I had in mind. Living in Silicon Valley and working in tech, my desire was to reconnect with nature and pursue a solo-hike through the Alps. I had envisioned doing this in Austria just based on its familiarity with my past travels.

As Miha and I exchanged messages, Miha who converted my desires into a well defined route to combine seeing many regions in Slovenia, which would allow me to decompress from the fast pace life in California and prepare for my solo hike through the Julia Alps, down into the Soča River Valley, through the Karst region onto Prian. He ensure everything I asked for was awaiting my arrival!

Once Miha and I talked live we settled on the plan and waited for weeks to pass and my flight to Slovenia, for an amazing 10 day trip.

I can summarize my trip by saying a Slovene saying; Sekira mi je padla v med!

Meeting Domen on my arrival, we had a great conversation reviewing maps and the route over beers and burgers and then I was cut loose to explore Ljubljana, where you can still feel the presence of past dragons and the vibe of a modern but well preserved historic city. From the street musicians to the open cafe's and restaurants to eating carniolian sausage at a very small sausage shack (Go there to find it, you will know when you see it along the way to the Castle over the three bridges).

Then onto Lake Bled, 6 kilometers around the lake, meeting Bobbi the artist who paints with watercolors, to experiencing the fairytale setting of the surrounding area. You do not pass up wood-fired traditional meals or the amazing cream cake you can learn about. My stay in Bled was a stepping off point to finalizing my gear and pack, since the next day was on to where my hike would start, on a ridge on the border between Austria and Slovenia.

Getting dropped off in the woods with a short hike up to the border ridge, onto Vosca Peak to start my path through the Julians, to visit Tonka prior to getting to Vrsic pass, hiking along the Soča river, overnighting in a hay barn at a local farm and onto Bovec, then to a Winery older then the United States and Caves where the Reka flows underground, onto Prian with Aljaž to hike sea cliffs and swim in the Adriatic!

Every aspect of the trip exceeded my expectations, the friendly culture, amazing people I met along the way, the nature, food and local beer. I rarely noticed the weather, but thunder does make you hike faster off the peaks :). I cannot wait to return to share this trip with my wife and to introduce her to all my new friends.

My trip can be summed up in one word; Zaklad!

Amazing crew of people at SloTrips, I cannot wait to reconnect with them on my next trip to Slovenia and possibly Croatia! The day I was to summit Triglav, the weather was questionable, and Miha called me while I was on the trail to check in on me and make sure my trek was safe and successful. I made requests for minor changes to my transfers, which they accommodated on the spot.

I had wonderful places to stay (clean, quiet, and safe for a solo female traveler) and got recommendations for local restaurants and wineries to visit along the way. This was my first travel experience with KimKim and the gentlemen at Slotrips. It will not be my last! Thank you again for going out of your way to give me a fantastic holiday!

Miha and his team were incredible and really made our trip. They had incredible ideas for activities (MTB tour of Ljubljana, SUP on Lake Bled, hiking in Triglav NP) and always executed perfectly. Our trip was 3-4x as good for thier involvement. I recommend them without hesitation.

The walks and scenery were outstanding. The route enabled us to see a lot of this beautiful country. There were some interesting and different things for us to do. In particular a guided tour of a WWI battlefield in the Sochi Valley and a visit with a beekeeper in Bled. Our tour organisers Domen and Miha provided excellent maps, notes and personal guidance. I highly recommend them and their firm Slotrips. I also found Kimkim to be a very good way find and to communicate with travel organisers.

Polona and Luka organised the day well and I enjoyed my time rock climbing. Siggi was very good at getting back about the plans promptly.

We had an absolutely wonderful time. The planning and logistics were impeccable by Miha. Lodging and venue selections exceeded our expectations.

Monika was the strongest asset here. She knew the country in and out and is an x-pro skil jumper. The rest of the tour team was amazing as well.
